Choreographer & Teacher

Mary Kate Felber is currently residing in New Jersey. Her diligence and innovativeness have made her a well sought after choreographer and teacher. Mary is an accomplished performer, choreographer, dance, yoga and pilates teacher and a certified Holistic Health coach. She has had the opportunity to perform all over the country and through- out Europe. Mary began performing professionally at the age of fifteen in the Equity productions of “Funny Girl” and “Guys and Dolls”. During this time she began teaching and choreographing. Mary is a very well rounded per- former and teacher/ choreographer with 30 years of experience and thorough training in ballet, jazz, acrobatics, tap, hip-hop, musical theater, drama and voice.

Mary’s performance expertise, perceptive teaching methods and innovative choreography from ballets to musical theater productions caught the eye of many including: TYCE DIORIO whom she worked side by side with for the hit television show, ”SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE” and MAURICE HINES with whom Mary danced with in the Equity national tours of “HARLEM SUITE” and “SATCHMO” among others. She was cast as Anita in the European tour and various regional productions of “WEST SIDE STORY” to critical acclaim in the press. She has had the privilege of working with Tony award winner, HINTON BATTLE and also with Jamal Graves dancing for the television awards show, “THE BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS”.

Mary has also casted and set the “SOIRBEE INTERNATIONAL HAIR SHOW”, was the assistant choreographer and dance coach for “THE 2007 HOLIDAY BOWL HALF-TIME SHOW” featuring 430 dancers, choreographed and directed “THE NUTCRACKER” at the Baker Theater in New Jer- sey and has also taught and set various pieces at numerous colleges such as Fordham University in NYC and Point Park College in Pennsylvania. Mary has taught and coached beginners from BROOKE SHIELDS to former MISS AMERICA SUZZETTE CHARLES.

When home, Mary was assistant to the legendary Frank Hatchett at Broadway Dance Center in NYC. She has been able of instill her love and respect of the art in all of her students here and all over the country where she consistently teaches master classes, judges and choreographs. Her students have won many overall high score awards at national competitions over the years and her chore- ography has consistently been awarded for excellence in lyrical, jazz and musical theater. Mary’s students have gone onto to careers on Broadway, dance companies,in television and in film.

Mary’s outstanding work ethic and being a quick study has garnered a great respect from those she has worked with. Her performance ability and teaching and choreography credits have made Mary be able to step into any facet of the entertainment world fearlessly and her diligence and loyalty, make her a valuable asset to the projects she is a part of.
